His recent post on &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.swissarmylibrarian.net\/2009\/09\/01\/whats-in-your-ready-ref\">What&#8217;s in your ready ref?<\/a>&#8221; is also fascinating.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Resources<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/sounds.bl.uk\/\">British Library Sound Archive<\/a> has made over 23,000 sound recordings available for listening online (where copyright permits) to anyone anywhere in the world.  This includes music (classical, popular, traditional), oral history, nature, and linguistic recordings.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/nzetc.blogspot.com\/2009\/09\/1000-new-zealand-classics-released-as.html\">New Zealand Electronic Text Centre<\/a> has released 1000 NZ classics in e-book format<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Twitter<\/b><br \/>There seems to be a revival in posts about Twitter recently &#8211; in the last couple of weeks I&#8217;ve come across:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/lowriderlibrarian.blogspot.com\/2009\/08\/twitter-for-organizations.html\">Twitter for Organizations<\/a> tutorial<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kellyd.com\/2009\/07\/29\/how-your-library-may-not-be-using-twitter-but-should\/\">How your library may not be using Twitter but should<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/librarianscommute.blogspot.com\/2009\/08\/satisfaction-of-already-being-there.html\">The Satisfaction of Already Being There<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Data showing that <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2009\/09\/02\/twitter-demographics\/\">the 12-17 and 18-24 year-old demographics are Twitter&#8217;s fastest-growing audience segment<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(And for those interested in New Zealand birds, Twitter accounts <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/kakarapiti\">K\u0101rearea (kakarapiti)<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/newzealandbirds\">newzealandbirds<\/a>.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Library of China is celebrating its centennial.
